Solution example: Taking over article data from ERP
Müller GmbH creates two to three new articles in the merchandise management system every day.
The prices for each customer are calculated by means of a complex rebate system. The net totals only shall be displayed in the Internet shop, however.
Müller GmbH links its Navison merchandise management system to the Product Information Management system.
By means of the Navison Standard Connector, the information is automatically taken from ERP and newly included articles and prices are displayed.
In this way, information must not be entered twice.
Solution example: BMEcat for major customers
Müller GmbH has many small handicraft businesses as customers, however, there are some large companies as well which purchase their technical products in large numbers.
Auto AG, a good customer of Müller, has now requested that Müller sends a BMEcat catalogue every month with its current assortment in order to integrate it into the purchasing environment of Auto AG.
Moreover, the sales manager asked the managing director several times already whether the company would not want to offer the assortment on a market place in the Internet.
All products which have been registered in the Product Information Management system once can be exported without a lot of effort in an electronic catalogue, such as in BMEcat format. For this purpose, the contents of the database is written by means of mapping (an allocation) into the target fields of the requested output format or dialect.
By ConnectPro orders which have been carried out by a purchasing system or a market place can be returned to the merchandise management system of Müller GmbH. All data including the invoice can be transferred paperless.
Solution example: Large customer wants to order by using SAP
Schulze AG is a long-standing customer of Müller GmbH and is pleased about the new shop in the Internet- In future, orders shall be placed by SAP.
Of course, in the process Schulze does not want do without having their negotiated prices displayed. Schulze is very interested in saving and in not having to pay additional fees to the market place operator.
The TradePro OCI-Connector permits direct access to the Internet shop by SAP. All products appear as defined for the Internet shop.
The order is passed directly from the shopping basket to SAP and can pass through the usual approval processes.
