Starting position

Meyer GmbH & Co. KG regularly purchases goods from Müller GmbH.

Special offer prices, which Müller defines for certain products each month, shall be sent to Meyer and other regular customers with immediate effect every month - best of all in the form of a clearly arranged price list with images which the sales staff can prepare themselves at short notice.

Solution

The sales staff defines a product selection, which shall appear on the current price list, and prepares an output template in MeDaPro FastPage. Optionally, pre-defined layouts can be used as well.

The selected product data and images are passed on to the template automatically.

Subsequently, the list prepared to printed on a colour printer and can be sent off immediately.

BMEcat for major customers

Starting position

Müller GmbH has many small handicraft businesses as customers, however, there are some large companies as well which purchase their technical products in large numbers.

Auto AG, a good customer of Müller, has now requested that Müller sends a BMEcat catalogue every month with its current assortment in order to integrate it into the purchasing environment of Auto AG.

Moreover, the sales manager asked the managing director several times already whether the company would not want to offer the assortment on a market place in the Internet.

Solution

All products which have been registered in the Product Information Management system once can be exported without a lot of effort in an electronic catalogue, such as in BMEcat format. For this purpose, the contents of the database is written by means of mapping (an allocation) into the target fields of the requested output format or dialect.

By ConnectPro orders which have been carried out by a purchasing system or a market place can be returned to the merchandise management system of Müller GmbH. All data including the invoice can be transferred paperless.
